The Revd Gavin Knight has been the Vicar of St Michael's since September 2011. He and his wife Jo, and their three sons, live in the vicarage near the church in Summertown.

Associated Priests:

The Revd Charlotte Bannister-Parker
The Revd Charlotte Bannister-Parker

The Revd Charlotte Bannister-Parker is the UK Chair & President of the Children's Radio Foundation. She is an Associate Faculty Member of the Theology Department at Oxford University. She has also recently been appointed The Bishop of Oxford's Advisor for Special Projects.

She has a BA in Politics, Anthropology & Russian Studies from Durham University (1984), an MA in Development Communications for the Centre for Overseas Research and Development, Durham University (1992) and another BA in Contextual Theology, North Thames Ministerial Training Course, London (2004).

Charlotte co-founded the charity Learning for Life which funds schools and education projects in India and Pakistan. She founded the annual inter-faith "Friendship Walk" in Oxford and the annual seminar "One Earth, Many Faiths".

In 2008, Charlotte, her husband and four boys lived in Kimberley, South Africa where Charlotte helped develop with the Diocese of Kimberley and Kuruman on HIV/Aids educational projects. She remains a regular visitor monitoring and support some of the programmes in the region.

The Revd Rodney Hill
The Revd Rodney Hill

Born in Leicestershire Rodney has lived in Summertown since 1981, he originally trained for Ordination with the Community of the Resurrection (Mirfield) in Leeds. Rodney completed his training for Ministry at Ripon College Cuddesdon in 2014/5. After Ordination he served in West Oxford licensed to the busy four Church Osney Benefice.

Rodney has been linked with St Michael's since 1981 and has known four incumbents and was also a one-time churchwarden. In 2012 he re-joined St Michael's providing assistance to Gavin. Rodney also helps on the rota at All Saints, Wytham.

Married to Theresa, Rodney is a proud father and grandfather. Interests include reading, music (singing), travel, DIY and Leicester City.

The Revd James Finnemore

Born in South Africa, James came to live in Oxford in his childhood. He was educated at St Michael's School in Hobson Road (now the residence of Rodney Hill and others!). He went on to study at Bishop Kirk school and then the Oxford School and Pembroke College, Cambridge. James was confirmed at St Michael's in 1974.

James' theological training was at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield. He was ordained 1985. Since then James has served in parishes in Leeds, Hull and, more recently, the Garrowby Hill Benefice which is located in East Yorkshire.

James has returned to north Oxford and is serving at St Michael's as well as St Barnabas in Jericho.

The Revd Dr Nicholas Bradbury
The Revd Dr Nicholas Bradbury

Nicholas is originally from Yorkshire but was a chorister at Christ Church, Oxford. After a year in New Guinea and five at Oxford he was ordained in 1973 as a curate at the Elephant & Castle. His ministry has included three years with the Jesuits in New York, incumbencies in Tottenham, Wiltshire and Bristol and five years as Director of Pastoral Theology at Salisbury and Wells Theological College. In 2002 he became a Senior Fellow of the King's Fund and he has just stepped down as Head of System Leadership for the NHS Leadership Academy to run his own company, Humanum. He has made over 130 BBC broadcasts and written a book on the Inner City and, in 2015, on practical theology and the C of E. His PhD is on the French Dominican, Pierre-André Liégé, a Vatican ll. pioneer.

Nicholas is married and lives in the parish. Music, the Hindu tradition and France are particular passions.

The Revd Dr Susanna Snyder
The Revd Dr Susanna Snyder

Susie took her undergraduate degree at Emmanuel College, Cambridge and trained for ministry at Queen's College, Birminham. Susie served her title St Mary, Stoke Newington.

She is presently Assistant Director, Catherine of Siena College, at the University of Roehampton and a Research Associate of the Oxford Centre for Christianity and Culture at Regent's Park College, Oxford. She teaches and writes on Christian theology, ethics, migration, and social action.

She enjoys singing, running, baking, getting involved in the community, and spending time with her husband, Michael, and son, Linus.

I was elected Churchwarden in March 2012. It will take me a long time to learn the job, but there has to be a first time for everything. I arrived in Oxford in September 2010. Our idea was to try out the various local churches, starting with St Michael's, but we went back a second week and have stayed ever since.

Duncan Angwin

Music:

Duncan Angwin - Organist

Duncan has been organist at St Michael's since 1998.

When not playing the organ he is Professor of Strategic Management at Lancaster University.


Simon Neal
Simon Neal - Assistant Organist

Simon has been helping out at St Michael's since 2002. When not playing the organ his day-jobs consist of hiring out and tuning harpsichords and fortepianos for orchestras and soloists worldwide, as well as being the personal assistant to harpsichordist and conductor Trevor Pinnock.
