St Michael's church has an ongoing commitment to the work of this important non-governmental organisation.
Their work aims to help people help themselves through the alleviation of poverty in some of the world's poorest communities.
They campaign internationally for climate, tax and land justice,
and work with thousands of local partners in health, agriculture and education projects in over forty countries.
A curry supper and social evening at St Michael's for Christian Aid Week volunteers
As well as the annual house to house collection in our Parish in May, in which thousands of pounds are collected,
other events such as quizzes, suppers and talks are held in conjunction with our partnership churches.
The quarterly Christian Aid News magazine with substantial details of current events around the world
and in the UK is available for loan from the display area in our church.
