Joining the Electoral Roll
The Electoral Roll is the basic list in every parish of all those entitled to vote on elections within the Church of England.
Those entitled to have their names on this roll have to be 16 years of age or more and they must reside in the relevant parish or be regular worshippers in church whose roll they wish to join.
The roll is completely renewed every six years, at which point all members have to re-apply for membership or else their names will be deleted. By this means, the continuing validity of the roll is maintained.
It's important for all who attend St Michael's regularly, especially but not exclusively those living in the parish, to sign up and play a part in the election of the PCC.
Anyone who wants to go on our Electoral Roll will have to fill out a form which can be found at the back of the church. Our present Electoral Roll stands at 147, which is a measure of the church's health.
You can download the form below, fill in your details , save and print it. Remember to sign the printed form before handing it in.
