Church & Community

Welcome Team

Newcomers party at the Vicarage
Newcomers party at the Vicarage

Your presence in church is cherished by God and the community of Christ here at St Michael and All Angels. You bring a light that enlightens the church and God's world.

We have a vocation to be a parish church, engaging with the whole of the community of Summertown and Cutteslowe, and offering pastoral care and spiritual nurture.

Our Welcome Team members greet people as they arrive, ensure that they have the correct material for each service, and invite newcomers to leave contact details and to sign up to receiving the Vicar's weekly blog.

But our main task is to ensure that everyone feels welcome at St Michael's; we keep an eye open for new faces and try to be attentive in particular to their needs. We are a friendly bunch and we value those who are new to our community. Our hope is that they quickly feel part of the St Michael's family and share fully in the life of our church.

If you would like to join the Welcome Team please contact Nigel and Debbie Hamilton by email: .
