Weekly church services

  • 08:00 am Holy Eucharist (Traditional Language). This will be celebrated each Sunday from the High Altar - the congregation will be invited to sit in the choir stalls. We will ensure that everyone is distanced appropriately.

  • 10:00 am Parish Eucharist (Common Worship). The service is in Nave, using the Nave Altar and includes singing by a cantor and organ music. It is live streamed on our Facebook page and also available to watch there at your own convenience.

  • 6.30pm Contemplative Half-hour. A service with short prayers, a Bible reading and about 20 minutes of silent prayer. The service is held in the Lady Chapel and there are candles and icons. Please enter through the South Door.

For those attending in person …

Many of the questions being asked around the return to church worship are answered on this Covid-19 leaflet.

There will be a plate for your offering (if you don't already give regularly by other means).

St Michael & All Angels, Summertown continues to be open for private prayer.

You are welcome to use the space to pray in silence, to light a candle, to reflect upon these strange times. If you need further pastoral assistance, please contact Gavin Knight, the vicar. Leaflets will be available with prayers and contact information. Welcomers will be on site to make your visit safe and contained.

The church will be open at the following times:

  • Monday - Wednesday: 10am - 12noon.
  • Saturday: 10am - 12noon.

Please enter the church via the south door. A toilet will be available if required.
