Welcome to the St Michael and All Angels Eco Team!

Our church strives to be GREEN and has been doing so for a long time (for example the replacement of all existing lighting in the church with LED lights); we are now making our intentions clear with registration as an Eco-Church.

What is an Eco Church?

It is our response to the mandate (from scripture) to care for our precious earth and our hope for God's creation. The response is by practical and measurable events such as:

Eco Earth in Hands
practical involvement in nature conservation projects and ecological research;
campaigning on biodiversity issues;
engaging with churches, schools, communities and individuals.

We measure our progress by a recognised standard, the "A Rocha Eco Church survey".

You can see a sample survey here.

Commitment to ECO-Church / Environment

See our commitment which was taken from our Creation Sunday survey 2002 here

Our Eco-Team has 5 focus groups addressing each of the survey themes:

  2. Buildings
  3. Land
  5. Lifestyle
