We believe that God's love for his creation continues today.
The signs and wonders that were performed by Jesus and later by his apostles are not a thing of the past,
nor are they magic tricks.
The Church continues Christ's ministry today and through the sacraments is able to transform people's lives.
We understand that the Eucharist is a healing service par excellence.
It is a time that we can honestly face up to ourselves, to one another and, most importantly, to God.
When we receive the body and blood of Christ we, like countless Christians through the centuries,
receive God's forgiveness, peace and joy.
On the first Thursday of each month within the Eucharist we share the laying on hands and the anointing of sick with oil.
We also name and pray for those who suffer in body, mind and spirit and we also pray and remember those who have died,
understanding that they are part of that great cloud of witnesses.
