Service Times
Weekdays:
8:30 am Silent contemplation
9:00 am Morning Prayer
The morning office is a short service when
we are able to listen to the great stories of the bible each as they unfold.
We say the appointed psalms of the day and we pray for the world, our local community and for one another.
Sunday:
10:00 am Holy Eucharist, Common Worship.
This is the parish celebration of our Lord’s Day of Resurrection which is also the Sabbath Day,
the day of rest and recreation, a day of play!
The parish Eucharist is a devotion of play and worship.
The choir sings and accompanies the rest of the congregation as we offer to God ourselves to his service.
The Eucharist lasts for just over one hour.
Refreshments are served at the end of the service.
6:30 pm Taizé
Each week from September to June Taizé worship takes place at St Michael's. We meet at 6:30 pm in
the Lady Chapel which is decorated by candlelight and icons. This is a meditative service using the
chants from Taizé, as well as silence. Note: in July and August Taizé is replaced by a Silent Half
Hour from 6:30pm.
